Sopore, Nov 10 (KS) : Authorities in Sopore ordered the deduction of one day’s salary from two senior officials of the fisheries department due to their absence from duty.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shabir Ahmad Raina issued an order on Friday to deduct one day’s salary from the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Ghulam Jeelani, and his senior assistant, Suraya Bano, for being absent from their duties without authorization.
He said the surprise inspection was conducted by the Tehsildar at the Assistant Director’s office in Baramulla headquarters, Sopore, at 12 o’clock today.
The officer said that this absence has been taken seriously, and the deducted salary will be credited to the district Red Cross fund in Baramulla.
This is not the first time the ADC Sopore has conducted surprise visits, as similar fines have been imposed on officers for their absenteeism in the past. (KS)
