Tehsildar says 40 passengers accommodated at community Hall

Ramban, Feb 10 (KNO): Amid the closure of Jammu-Srinagar national highway at different locations due to landslides, shooting triggered by rains, the district administration Ramban has shifted at least 70 stranded passengers to makeshift Lodgement Centre at Ramsoo.

In a tweet, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam said, “Around 70 NH-44 stranded passengers shifted to makeshift Lodgement Centre at Ramsoo. Traffic halted at Panthyal, Ramsoo due to shooting stones.”

“Passengers being served food as traffic remains suspended on NH-44 due to Panthyal shooting stones. More passengers arrive at Lodgement Centre”, he said in another tweet as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

Moreover, Tehsildar Ramban, Rafiq Ahmad said that about 40 stranded passengers have been accommodated at Community Hall at Ramban till now—(KNO)
