Ganderbal 21 Sep (KNZ):A 5 km ‘Run For Fun’ was organised by 34 Assam Rifles Wussan for students of Sub-division Kangan in Ganderbal district
A large number of school children participated in the event. The event was attended by Army officials and dignitaries including local populace of the area.
There were separate prizes for boys and girls category. First prize in boys and girls category was won by Showkat Ahmad,Shoaib Magray and Pakeezah Fayaz respectively
The ‘Run For Fun’ was a live example of Unity in Diversity and Indian Army did a commendable job to ignite the feeling of nationalism and patriotism amongst the children of Kangan
Such events not only help in promoting sports but also kindle the spirit of nationalism and unity amongst local populace.
The Ace of Spades Division of the Indian Army has been organising such events frequently to engage youth and children in meaningful constructive activities in Ganderbal and adjoining areas which have been well appreciated by the public.KNZ
