According to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the victim’s kin staged a protest at the premises of the district hospital demanding that all family members of the victim’s in-laws should be arrested.

The protesters have alleged that the victim was allegedly murdered by her in-laws as she was being harassed for dowry.

The victim had committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her home late last night following which she died at SMHS hospital Srinagar.
