Uri, August 3 (GNS) Authorities in north Kashmir’s Uri town on Monday seized 27 vehicles and sealed 3 shops for violating Covid-19 SOPs.

“We have seized 27 vehicles and sealed 3 shops in Uri for violating government-issued guidelines,” SDM Uri Reyaz Ahmad Malik told GNS.

Malik said that they seized the shops at the spots like Mohra, Bandi Chananwari and Noorkhah during a naka while shops were sealed in the areas like Uri, Chananwari and Noorkhah.

‘The vehicles coming from Baramulla side were pushed back and not allowed to enter into Uri,” he said.

SDM said that strict orders have also been passed to all the duty magistrates for implementation of the lockdown. (GNS)
