Srinagar: Aug. 15 protesters sustained injuries during intense clashes between protesters and government forces Tuesday near and around the encounter site in south Kashmir’s Hakripora village of Pulwama district, sources said.
A youth was hit with bullet and was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, sources in the nearby PHC Kakapora told.
They added that at least 15 injured persons were brought in the Centre and some of them were referred to Srinagar and Pulwama.
A gunfight was going on in Hakripora village of Pulwama since morning.
Forces razed a residential house to ground in the initial hours of the fight. However there was no official confirmation about any casualties.
Soon after the gunfight started people from all the surrounding villages started marching towards the encounter site in Hakripora pelting stones on forces, sources said.
LeT commander Abu Dujana is reportedly among the trapped militants in the village.
