Pulwama: Dozens of students who have undergone retail marketing training last year are waiting to get travel allowances for the last one year.

Several students complained that in year 2022, they joined a private institute in Pulwama for three month retail marketing training.

They said that as these institutes provide training under various government funded schemes they too opted for retail marketing course.

They said that like other courses, this course too offered daily travel allowances of 125 rupees to every student and the money was to be given in intervals of 15 days but even after completion of the training they didn’t received the amount.

“When we told the Institute head about the that matter he told us there is a shortage of funds from government but assured us that we will get the money after some months but after 2 months we approached the higher authority of the scheme they told us the same argument and promised that we will get the money after some months,” said a trainee.

“After completion of course we were sure that the amount would be provided to s, but so far nothing has been released,” he added.

The trainees said that they were asked to mail their grievance to various concerned authorities but even after doing that they got no positive response.

The trainees have once again requested the higher authorities to look into the matter at an earliest so that they can heave a sigh of relief.

Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Basharat Qayoom, when informed about the issue assured that he will look into the matter and get it resolved.(Kashmir Vision)
