Anantnag 02 july 2018(KNZ):Residents of Thajwara took on Street and blocked Achabal -Anantnag road to demand drinking water.
The inhabitants of Kulgad, and Thajiwara areas of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday staged a demonstration against the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department over non-availability of drinking water in these villages.
Men and women assembled and blocked the Achabal – Anantnag road They raised anti-PHE slogans.
“There is an acute shortage of drinking water from one week” said the Residents we have already staged protest before few days but no action have been taken locals added.
They Appealed DC Anantnag and demand immediate restoration of water in their areas.KNZ
