Sopore, Jun 29 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two uncategorized militants along with arms and ammunition in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s 22 RR and CRPF 179 BN during a Naka arrested two militant of a banned militant organization Lashkar e Toiba at Chinar crossing in Sopore town.

He said, that they recovered Incriminating material including 02 pistols along with magazines and 14 pistol rounds from their possession.

Officials identified them as Adnan Ashiq War son of Ashiq Ahmed War of Warpora Sopore and Zubair Ahmed Sofi son of Abdul Ahad Sofi of Fatehgrah Baramulla.

Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections of law in this regard has been registered in Police Station Sopore and further investigation is going on, they added.(KNS)
