Ramban, Mar 05 (KS) : Two young men lost their lives in a late-night accident in Ramban district official sources said.

Official sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the incident occurred when their vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Battery Chashma along the Jammu Srinagar national highway.

The driver was unable to navigate a sharp curve, resulting in the vehicle plummeting approximately 150 meters.

Source said that Immediately after receiving the distress call, the police, civil QRT, and SDRF rushed to the scene. Despite their best efforts, the occupants could not be saved and were pronounced dead upon arrival at the DH Ramban hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Hakam Din, aged 25, and Tariq Ahmed, aged 32, both hailing from Village Dalwa, Sangaldan in the Gool District of Ramban.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.(KS)
