Srinagar, Jan 15 :- People continued to enjoy summer-like weather due to sunshine though the night temperature remained several degrees below freezing point owing to dry conditions in Kashmir valley.
However, chilly weather conditions continued in the border town of Kargil, which was the coldest place in the region at minus 20 degree C, followed by Leh, where the mercury settled at minus 10.
9 degree C.
A Met department spokesperson said the weather will remain dry during the next 48 hours in the state, which could result in further dip in the night temperature.
He said the huge difference between maximum and minimum temperature is due to clear skies and there is nothing unusual in it.
