Poonch, July 8 (GNS): Following news reports about the rising stray dog menace, the authorities ordered suspension of a nurse and a nursing orderly at Sub-District hospital at Surankote in mountainous Poonch district.

Talking to GNS, CMO Poonch Dr Mumtaz Bhatti said he had directed the BMO to order suspension of the staff nurse Meena Sarwar and nursing orderly Dilpizar Ahmad. “I have also directed BMO to immediately attach them with my office,” he added.

The stray dogs have caused much inconvenience to patients and their attendants, forcing them to constantly be scared to walk in the hospital premises.

On Monday, a picture went viral on social media in which dogs are seen sitting on main entrance door of the hospital and few others are seen sitting close to Labour room of the gynecology department.

Some attendants who were accompanying the patients to the hospital termed the incident as horrific and they also captured some photographs which show few dogs sitting in-front of the main door of the hospital and some close to the labour room. (GNS)
