SONAMARG 27 Aug (KNZ):- Traffic was on Thursday temporarily suspended on 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh Highway as a precautionary measure following moderate to heavy rain in the area.

Dysp traffic Faheem Ali told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that the 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh Highway temporarily closed on Thursday afternoon as a precautionary measure due to heavy rainfall and apprehensions of landslide at few places along the highway at zojila pass.

He said all types of vehicular movement on the highway was stopped from Sonamarg towards Drass.

Traffic will be resumed only after receiving green signal from the BRO and traffic police officials posted Sonamarg adding that traffic is nromally being allowed in the morning from Ladakh to Kashmir and later, from here to the other side of Zojila pass officials said.KNZ
