Srinagar, Mar 20 (KS): Two persons suspected of their involvement in an alleged murder case have been taken into custody, Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore Divya Dev said on Wednesday.

Talking to media the police officer, as per news agency Kashmir Scroll, said that on 19 March, 2024, at around 10:40 PM, Police Post Warpora received information that one Mushtaq Ahmad Mir from Dooru had gone missing. “A missing report was accordingly lodged and multiple search parties formed to look for the missing person,” the police officer said adding, after searching for him all night, the body of the missing person was found this morning, with multiple head injuries.

“All the medico-legal formalities of the person have been completed,” the police officer said.

“During the investigations so far, we have apprehended two suspects for their alleged involvement in the alleged murder of the person,” she said.

“There is no terror angle indicated and it probably seems a case of personal enmity,” she added. (KS)
