Budgam, Apr 24, KNT: Police Saturday claimed that combined forces arrested a militant who hails from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

A police spokesperson said that combined forces including soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF 181 Battalion arrested a militant during a search operation at Nagbal Charar-e-Sharif area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The militant Gulzar Ahmad Bhat is a resident of Bathpora Arwani Anantnag from whose possession arms and ammunition including a pistol, bullets were recovered.

Police said that the arrested militant had recently joined banned Albadar outfit and was in close contact with the militants in Pakistan.

Police further added that a case vide FIR number 242021 under relevant sections has been registered at police station Charar-e-Sharif. (KNT)
