Jammu and Kashmir Police under the leadership of Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh is continuously providing funds for organizing various Civic Action Programmes at zone, range and district levels for conducting different social and sports activities for general public of Jammu and Kashmir.Jammu and Kashmir Police in its efforts to channelize the energy of youth of J&K towards the positive directions has been organizing various activities under its Civic Actions programme.

Under the programme a mega cricket tournament is underway at Kathua and another cricket tournament is going on in Kishtwara District. In previous month a 10 days skiing training course was organized at Gulmarg for the youth of North Kashmir, besides over 1000 students and youth from different parts of J&K have been sent for Bharat Darshan tour this year till now. Choona Hai Assman a talent hunt show is in progress at district levels. More mega event and activities are being organized in near future as well under this programme.

During the financial year 2019-2020 over rupees four crore vide different orders of PHQ have been allotted to different units for conducting various activities which include drug de-addiction services/awareness, opening of gymnasium, organizing range level sports tournaments in memory of martyrs, providing sports equipments and logistic support to clubs, Govt Schools, Madrassa, and NGOs. Under this programme financial assistance is being provided for purchase of computers and printers for Govt. schools, nonprofit organization of J&K for organizing free medical camps and constructing sanitary blocks.In recent orders Rs 66 lakh have been allotted to different units. Under order No. 890 of 2020 Rupees 45.00 lakhs have been allotted to five DIG range offices for opening of Gymnasiums in their jurisdictions for general public. Rupees 10.00 lakh have been allotted vide order No. 889 in favour of district SSsP of Kishtawar and Kathua for conducting of different activities under Civic Action Programme including Range level cricket tournament in memory of Martyr DySP Shri Aman Thakur in Kishtwar.

Similarly, Rupees five lakh has been allotted to SSP Jammu for providing financial assistance to Deaf and Dumb association and Madrassas Taleem-ul-Quran vide Police headquarters’ order NO. 888.Vide PHQ order No. 887 Rupees 3.75 Lakh has been allotted in favour of DIG, CKR Srinagar, SSsP Budgam, Baramulla and Udhampur for providing financial assistance in conducting different activities under Civic Action Programme in their respective areas. Rupees 2.70 lakh has been accorded to Commandant IRP 19th BN Kathua to provide sports equipments, logistic support and IT lab for different schools, Madrassas and clubs.
