Baramulla February 18: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party headed by SHO PS Tangmarg at a checkpoint established at Bus Stand Tangmarg intercepted a person who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. He has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir son of Ab Hameed Mir resident of Ferozpora Tangmarg. During search, officers was able to recover 35 grams of Charas from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Tangmarg where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg and investigation has been initiated.
