GANDERBAL : Under the concerted efforts of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Ganderbal Police in continuation to its war against Drugs and its Peddlers and to eradicate this severe menace from the society arrested three more Notorious Drug Peddlers alongwith Contraband/Psychotic Substance within a week at various places in the District.
During naka Checkings at various places by District Police Ganderbal, arrested three more drugs within previous one week.
The persons who were arrested revealed their identities as:
- Tawseef Ahmad Khan @ Kaka S/O Awrang Gull Khan R/O Dursuma Manigam
- Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh S/O Gh Nabi Sheikh R/O Batpora Safapora.
- Suhail Ahmad Tantary
S/O Mohammad Yousaf Tantary R/O Wakoora.
Huge quantity of Contraband/ Psychotic Substance like Charas with 05 bottles of liquor, 42.5 kgs crushed Cannabis/Bang with seeds, 02 Kgs & 160 grams Cannabis powder (Bang) was recovered from their possession.
In this regard Case FIR No.s 13/2022, 07/2022 and 51/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act were registered in PS Lar, Safapora and Ganderbal respectively. Further investigations have been taken up.
The war against Drugs and Narcotics by Ganderbal Police shall continue and efforts to eradicate this severe menace will be given top priority. The efforts of Police has been appreciated and applauded by general public.
