Ganderbal 13 May (KNZ):Students of Govt Girls High school Urpash area of Ganderbal District are facing immense difficulties due to the old cement drain and students demand new bridge over Power Canal

Residents of Urpesh and it’s adjoining areas said that they walk on this cement drain but due to continuous water flow on this drain it is difficult to pass through the drain.

School going students said that it is difficult to walk on this drain due continuous water flow on this drain.

The locals have also been demanding the government to build a bridge so that children from underprivileged backgrounds, for whom, government schools are the last option, can attend schools on a regular basis.

“These children have no option but to go to the schools by crossing the river. It’s a never-ending issue for us.

Panchayat body said, PDC department not issued NOC for construction of bridge over power canal and we appealed the said department to issue NOC as soon as possible

They further appeal to LG and DC Ganderbal to look into the matter, so that they may not suffer more.KNZ
