Wins 5 Sarpanch seats out of 6 vacant Sarpanch seats in Bandipora-A and B blocks

Bandipora, Dec 13: People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration Sunday swept vacant sarpanch and panch seats in Bandipora A and B blocks during the 6th phase of Panchayat By-polls.

In a statement, PAGD official spokesperson said that it has won 5 vacant Sarpanch seats out of the total 6 vacant seats in tho blocks.

Giving details, he said that PAGD has won two Sarpanch seats from Quil and Mangnipora of Bandipora-B panchayat block while 3 Sarpanch seats from Nadihal-A and B and Kulhama respectively from Bandipora-A block.

He said that vacant Sarpanch seat was lost by the PAGD.

He also said that out of total 9 panch vacant seats from Qazipora and Watapora 8 seats were won by the PAGD.

“Out of the total 5 vacant panch seats from Mangnipora all 5 were won by PAGD, out of 7 panch wards all 7 were won by the PAGD in Onagam, 3 each vacant panch seats from Quil and Muqam were won by the PAGD and 1 each vacant panch seats from Turkpora and Ayathmulla were also won by the PAGD,” he said.

The official spokesperson said that clean sweep in Panchayat By-polls in Bandipora A and B blocks indicates clear win in the DDC election by the PAGD as well.
