Srinagar, Dec 3, KNT: Nursing and Paramedic students Thursday accused Principal GMC of ‘intimidation and harassment’ saying the Principal is directing them not to stage protest or utter a word about the problems they have been facing.

Nursing and Paramedic students assembled here in press Enclave saying in 3 years, their examination has been conducted only once and they are losing their precious time.

“Whenever we raise our voice, Principal Government Medical College threatens us of dire consequence saying our 3 year course will never get completed in case we stage protest,” they said and demanded online examination to save their precious time.

“Either conduct online examination or promote us. Recently forms for examination were issued but now the date has been extended for the reason better known to authorities. We are suffering and nobody bothers about our career,” the protesting students hailing from different colleges told KNT. They said authorities are adamant and want to conduct off-line examination, given the fact that only 45% syllabus has been completed. Off line examination will consume more time and it will add to our woes,” the protesters said while demanding off-line examination.

They said authorities have no trouble in conducting off line classes but are reluctant to conduct on-line examination. (KNT)
