Srinagar, Nov 19: In a remarkable display of talent and innovation, students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar left an indelible mark at the 9th Vibrant India 2023 event held from 3rd to 5th November 2023 at Dilli Haat,Pitampura, New Dehli in the category of Promotion of Engineering.

Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Sudhakar Yedla, extended heartfelt congratulations to the faculty members, scholars, and students for their commendable achievements.

“I am delighted that the NIT Srinagar team secured the first prize in this prestigious national event. I extend my best wishes for continued success and hope that many more accolades come our way. These recognitions play a pivotal role in motivating us to reach greater heights,” he added.

The event was organized by NSS Media group. The NIT Srinagar delegation, exclusively displayed projects that highlighted the institution’s dedication to cutting-edge research and development.

From advancements in robotics to eco-friendly engineering solutions, the showcase reflected the diverse talents and expertise of NIT Srinagar students.

Among the standout exhibits was a ground breaking project entitled “A Deep Machine Vision Framework for Decoding the Physiological Response of Saffron Plant to Stress for forecasting Crop loss due to Biotic, Abiotic and Climatic Factors” presented by Miss Ishrat Nazeer (Research Scholar) and Anan Kataria (BTech CSE Student), under the supervision of Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Rout, Assistant Professor Department of CSE, NIT Srinagar.

The project not only impressed judges but also underscored NIT Srinagar’s commitment to impactful, real-world solutions.

Multiple other projects including “The Holodrone-X” project prepared by Pinak Pani Dixit, MSV Madhav, Tushar Kumar Mehra and Ashvick Bandral under the guidance of Dr. Gausia Qazi, Associate Professor, Department of ECE.

“Standing wheelchair” prepared by Gowtham Narayanshetty and Yash Tiwari under the guidance of Dr. HS Pali, Assistant Professor, Department Mechanical engineering;

“Effects of Extreme Climatic conditions on performance of power and distribution of transformers” by Mr. Nazir Ul Islam, under the guidance of Dr. Chilaka Ranga, Assistant Professor, Department of ELE, NIT Srinagar, were also displayed in the event.
