Ganderbal, Nov 09, 2017:- The National Legal Services Day was observed at Ganderbal by the District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal under the chairmanship of Principle District & Sessions Judge Raja Sujat Ali on 09th of November 2017. The National Legal Services Day programme was a call to ensure reasonable fair and justice procedure for all citizens.
District Principal Session Judge, Raja Sujat Ali, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-in Sofi, Members of Bar Association and large number of litigants participated in the event.
The Chairman District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal, talking about the history of the legal services authority and other legal service authorities and committees explained the importance of the legal services day and the role of legal services for making the goal of justice at door steps for common people possible.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief judicial Magistrate Ganderbal emphasized on the urgency of striving for reducing the gap between the rich and poor litigants for a fair justice delivery. He said the notion of free legal aid finds its roots in the idea that no individual should have to undergo trial in the absence of a proper legal assistance.
