Ganderbal, Feb 21, 2026:The Employment Department, District Ganderbal, organized a vibrant Potential Entrepreneurship Mela at Higher Secondary School Safapora under the ambitious Mission YUVA initiative, drawing an overwhelming response from aspiring youth and stakeholders across the district.
The programme was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment by providing guidance on various government-sponsored schemes, startup opportunities, financial assistance, and skill-based ventures. Participants were sensitized about the support mechanisms available to help transform innovative ideas into sustainable business enterprises.
Speaking to the media, Assistant Director Employment, Ganderbal, Miss Bensih Wani expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic participation of youth. She stated that the department remains committed to empowering young people through awareness programmes, mentorship, and structured support under Mission YUVA, enabling them to become self-reliant and job creators.
The mela also served as an important platform for interaction between government officials, financial institutions, and aspiring entrepreneurs, strengthening efforts to generate employment opportunities and foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district.
The event was actively hosted by motivational speaker Mr Bilal Bhat, who also serves as Mission YUVA Motivator for District Ganderbal, inspiring participants to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path.
