Sopore, Apr 01 : At least six families were rendered homeless after five residential houses were damaged in a fire incident that broke out in Hathishah area of Sopore town on Friday evening, officials said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that three residential houses were fully damaged, while two houses were partially damaged in the fire mishap.

He said that the cause of fire was said to be leakage from LPG gas from one of the residential houses, which late engulfed the nearby houses.

The official said that police and fire tenders reached to the spot and doused off the flames with the help of locals.

He said that there was, however, no loss of life or injury reported in the incident while 6 families were rendered homeless. (KNS)
