Mehbooba, Parra likely to contest from south, central parliamentary seats

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party led by former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti will declare the names of candidates for central and south Kashmir Lok Sabha seats.

The announcement will be made in a press conference which is scheduled to be held at J&K PDP headquarters at 03:00 pm today.

Kashmir News Service (KNS) quoted reliable sources as saying that PDP top leadership after deliberating with senior leaders of the party have decided to announce two of its candidates for Srinagar and Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seats today.

They said PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is likely to contest LS polls from Anantnag-Rajouri seat, while party’s youth president Wahid Parra may be fielded from central Kashmir Lok Sabha seat.

Sources added that the decision on north Kashmir is yet to be taken and will be finalized in coming days.
