Ganderbal 04 May (KNZ):Legal Metrology Department (LMD) team headed by Assistant controller legal metrology department Sheikh Tariq Ahmad today conducted market checking amid lockdown in Haripora,Wussan,Baroosa and thuru areas of Ganderbal District.
As many traders were booked like baker,milk seller, Vegetables and fruit seller for various violations, including use of defective weighing instruments and lack of proper declarations on pre-packaged commodities. A composition sum of Rs.2100 (Two Thousand &one Hundred) was recovered from the offenders.
The traders were advised to use only verified weighing and measuring instruments for commercial transactions and to desist from fraudulent trade practices.KNZ
