UT Ladakh  31/01/2020: In connection with the celebration of Republic Day 2020 Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages

Leh & Kargil jointly today organized a UT Ladakh Level 1ST Ladakh Multilingual Mushaira-2020 at Lotsava Auditorium here today 25 poets from different parts of the UT Ladakh both Leh & Kargil district described the virtues of the Republic Day Celebration 2020 by rendering their poetic compositions in Ladakhi, Purgi, Balti, Sheena, Dardi, and Brokpa languages.Hon’ble Executive Councillor, Education, LAHDC, Leh Sh. Konchok Stanzin was the Chief Guest while as Renowed Balti Poet/Writer Sh.Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat was the guest of honor on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion the EC Education appreciated Ladakh Cultural Academy Leh & Kargil for having organized such mega literary event. While hailing the poets for their successful rendering of poetry, the EC Education expressed hope that men of letters can play greater role in bringing positive changes in society. Konchok said that the Academy playing vital role for preservation & promotion the rich art and culture of Ladakh, but this is not enough as a citizen of this unique land we all ladakhi must need to take initiate & need to preserve and promote our rich culture heritage individually.

Sh.Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat in his speech complimented the Ladakh Academy for organizing such poetic symposia from time to time thereby giving fillip to literary activities in the UT Ladakh. He appreciated the female participations poets in these poetic symposia.

Eminent Balti poet and writer Sh. Sh.Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat sat in the presidium while as poets who recited their compositions included Sh.Tsering Norboo, Martse, Sh.Khayal Ladakhi, Sh. Tsering Sonam, Sopari, Dr. Tsewang Yangjor( Zanskar), Smt. Tsering Dolkar(  Nubra), Sh. Konchok Namgyal (Changthang), Sh. Mohd Ali, Chushot, Sh. Abdul Rahim, Turtuk, Sh. Nazir Hussain, Turtuk, Smt. Masuma Bano, Sh. Sibte Hassan Kaleem, Sh. Ashraf Ali Sagar,  Sh.Mumhammad Asgar Aasi, Sh.Raza Amjad Badgami, Sh.Fida Ali Fida Badgami, Sh.Muhammad Ali Baba, Sh.Muhammad Taqi Khan Nayaab, Sh.Sajjad Ali Shujaat, Sh.Muhammad Jawad Jalib, Sh.Muhammad Ali Khumar,

Earlier in the welcome speech Deputy Secretary Leh Sh.Tsewang Paljor, welcomed the dignitaries, poets and the audience.  Among others who were present on the occasion included a number of officers from the Civil Administration, writers, poets and a jam packed hall of literary enthusiasts. Dr.Thupstan Nurboo, Assistant Editor Ladakhi and Sh. Ashraf Ali Sagar conducted the proceedings while as DEPUTY Secretary Kargil Nazir Hussain delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
