Terms it propaganda to hamper smooth conduct of event; ‘Those involved will be dealt with as per law’

Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has refuted the reports of not providing adequate accommodation and transport facility to athletes who are taking part in the third edition of Khelo India Winter Sports Games at famous ski resort of Gulmarg.

Taking to official Twitter handle Sports Council, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), termed the reports as mere propaganda and those involved will be dealt with as per the law.

“Fake news about the accommodation of the players is being circulated by some media people. J&K Sports Council is providing all possible support and help to the athletes. This propaganda shall be duly dealt with the relevant law,” it tweeted.

Notably, a video had gone viral on a social media handle late last night wherein a few persons claiming to be participants at Khelo India Event alleged they were not provided transportation and accommodation.

Meanwhile, an official told KNO that all those athletes who have registered for the event are being fully taken care of and is a proper communication channel has been set up to address any issue.

The Sports Council has also issued helpline numbers for accommodation, transport and medical assistance for all the athletes participating in the event—(KNO)
