Ganderbal 30 Dec (KNZ):Residents of Kalas-Pati Poshkar area of Kangan held a protest against PDD Department

The protestors alleged that a 100 KV transformer was installed in their village but due to large population, an upgraded transformer is required to meet their power needs.

“Various times, the installed transformer got damaged due to overload”, they said and demanded installation of 250 KV transformer in their village.

“We almost repair the transformer two to three times in every month, now we are tired of it.

They said that in absence of electricity they are facing lot of problems and their children are not able to read books in night hours

Many times the transformer gets damaged which affects electricity. Our students suffer a lot due to this,” said a resident.

We brought this issue into the notice of concerned higher ups several times but their repeated assurances proved hoax on ground,” they said.

The residents have urged for immediate restoring of upgraded transformer or they will start protesting on roads.

They appealed DC Ganderbal to look into the matter.KNZ
