GANDERBAL, MAY 16: District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today visited JNV Hatbara which is nominated COVID Care center and inspected availability of logistics and other allied facilities being put in place for inmates.
The DDC was accompanied by ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACR Ganderbal, CMO Ganderbal, Tehsildar Tulmulla and other concerned.
On the occasion, the DC took round of the JNV Hatbara and inspected the facilities being put in place including logistics, electricity, sanitation in and around the center, availability of personal hygiene gears, bedding, health care facilities and other related arrangements.
While reviewing the facilities being put in place, he exhorted upon the concerned to ensure all the facilities are as per SOP laid down for COVID Care Center.
It is notable JNV Hatbara (COVID Care Center) has 400 bedded capacity.
While giving necessary instructions for ensuring hassle-free stay of inmates, he stressed the officers to ensure greater coordination at all levels so that adequate arrangements and logistics work smoothly. He also stressed on the need of strict adherence to all the prescribed guidelines especially maintaining social distance besides providing other services to inmates to prevent the spread of corona virus.
Later DDC also visited the Girls Hostel Gadoora which is designated as Administrative quarantine and reviewed the facilities being provided to the inmates who have recently returned from the other districts and foreign countries.  
On the occasion he also interacted with inmates who appeared satisfied with facilities and appreciated the administration for providing hygienic and healthy eatables besides other essential facilities.
