Srinagar: Team J&K Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Welfare Conference, District Unit Shopian, organized a series of awareness programmes in far-off villages of Shopian like Nassrerpora, Pehlipora and Dunaroo, on the Topic “Education and its importance” Awared the People about their rights, Schemes launched for the Gujjar Bakerwal Community.

The Programmes were held under the Chairmanship of Choudhary Showkat Shabir Kalas, who is Senior activist of JKGBYWC, District vice President, M.Y Choudhary, Aslam Anwar, General Secretary, Zakir Kassana, Secretary,Rezwan Nisar Bomla Asif Awan, organiser, Javed Chouhan Zubair Ahmed, Imran Javed Haqla and other activists of the District were also alongwith him.

The activists delivered public awareness lectures on various issues Confronting to community like health, Education,Govt run Schemes, Public was also made aware about the various Schemes launched by GOI for community people and they highlighted importance of Education and asked the people to send their childrens to Schools and Provide them quality Education which is need of the hour.
Meanwhile people got highly motivated after listening the views of activists and assured them they will made their every efforts to teach their Children.
The activists were holding placards with messages like Taleem Hamara Haq hai (Education is our right) Taleem Ki aur Aawo (come towards education) Education is the key of Sucess.
Moreover, the people of areas raised number of issues and problems being faced by them. They projected their demands in respect of drinking water, road connectivity, Education, health and electricity Ch Shouket Shabir Kalas assured them that they will highlight their issues and would Apprise the Administration about their plights and would get them resolve all.

Meanwhile, People and activists in one voice demanded for the Start the process of Enactment of Forest Rights act in J&K, and they have expressed serious concern over they delay in implementation Process which lead to increase the suffering of people as some few days back People of the community were being evicted from their lands in Jammu region and they said if the FRA would get implement in the State they do not face such type of discrimination.
Moreover, they urged the Tribal Authorities to speed up the Process of disbursement of Scholarship so the miseries being faced by tribal Students could be reduced.
Choudhary Showkat Shabir Kalas, highlighted the achievemnts of JKGBYWC, and Appealed the People to come out and do extend their support to Young Turks of Community who at every front raising the community issues and getting them resolve.
