Ganderbal 25 Nov (KNZ):Acting upon a reliable information, SHO Police Station Kangan Inspector Turk Zahoor under the close supervision of SDPO Kangan Syed Yasir Qadri- JKPS raided a place at Waniarm Wangath and seized illegal timber from the possession of one person namely Gh Mohd Khan S/o Mohd Akbar Khan R/o Waniarm Wangath Kangan.
In this regard Case FIR No. 139/2021 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF ACT has been registered at Police Station Kangan and further investigation into matter has been taken up.
Acting tough against timber smugglers, Ganderbal Police assures that the drive against timber smugglers will continue to ensure protection of Green Gold from the plunder.
The efforts of district police Ganderbal has been highly applauded by the general public.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is the second consecutive smuggling bid in the month of November by timber smugglers which has been foiled by District Police Ganderbal.KNZ
