New Delhi, Jan 4: Days ahead of Republic Day celebrations, Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist wanted in a number of terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell.

“Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist,” said an official. “The accused was wanted in a multiple terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir,” he further said.

The special cell of the Delhi Police will hold a press conference at 5 pm to reveal more details about the arrest.

Reports also say that the terrorist had a bounty of Rs five lakh on his head and is also wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The terrorist identified as Javaid Mattoo is said to have been in involved in multiple terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir.

The latest arrest comes after another Hizbul terrorist was nabbed in Kishtwar by Jammu and Kahsmir Police.

Identified as Mohammed Yousaf Chouhan, the terrorist was arrested on suspicion of being involved in terror-related incidents.

Notably, a Chinese grenade was recovered from his possession by the security forces. –(RepublicTV)
