Srinagar, Aug 3, : Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhahideen on Friday paid rich tributes to militants killed in Kupwara and Sopore gun battles.

Two militants, Zahoor Ahmad Mir of Thayan Kalaroos and Bilal Ahmad Shah of Shatmuqam village of Kupwara were killed during a brief shootout with government forces in Shumriyal Lolab area of Kupwara. In Sopore also two militants were killed in a gunfight on Friday.

Burhanuddin, the spokesperson of the outfit told news agency CNS over phone that United Jehad Council chief Syed Salahuddin and deputy chief Saifullah Khalid paid rich tributes to these four slain militants.

“Syed Salahuddin is all praise for these budding Kashmiri youth and has said that the sun of freedom will rise sooner or later in Kashmir,” Burhanuddin said.

Quoting Syed Salahuddin as having said that these “militants were assets and the sacrifices made by all these four militants will not go waste.”

He said beside Saifullah Khalid and Muhamamd Bin Qasim also paid tributes to these valiant militants.(CNS)
