An official said that the governor advised the safety audit, particularly in regard to hospitals, shopping centres, malls etc. and seal all premises which have the risk of catching fire, falling down etc.
Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on Saturday advised a time-bound safety audit of hospitals, shopping malls and other buildings.

“Consequent to yesterday’s fire incident in Bombay (Mumbai), which resulted in the loss of property and death of fourteen precious lives, Governor N.N. Vohra has asked Shri B.B. Vyas, Chief Secretary, to issue immediate instructions to all Deputy Commissioners in the State to have an immediate Fire Safety Audit conducted,” said an official spokesman.
