Ganderbal, Sept 10:In a decisive action against illegal mining, Ganderbal Police, in coordination with the Geology & Mining Department, seized three tippers engaged in unlawful extraction and transportation of minor minerals from Nallah Sindh on Wednesday.
The vehicles, bearing registration numbers JK09/2680, JK03B/8854, and JK03B/4155, were intercepted within the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal.
Officials said the crackdown reflects the firm resolve of District Police Ganderbal and the Geology & Mining Department to curb illegal mining, safeguard natural resources, and preserve environmental balance.
Police have urged locals to extend cooperation by reporting such activities, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept confidential. Strict legal action has been warned against those found involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
