Ganderbal:Ganderbal Police today observed Anti terrorism Day and organised a pledge ceremonies at all Police establishments of District Ganderbal, the main event was held at District Police Lines Ganderbal.

On the occasion SSP Ganderbal Shri Suhail Munawar Mir-JKPS took an oath alongwith Police officers/ officials that ” we, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to hold and promote peace, social harmony, and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.

SSP Ganderbal on the occasion addressed that this Anti Terrorism Day is observed every year throughout the Country on May 21 in commemoration of the death anniversary of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, SSP Ganderbal also mentioned about the supreme sacrifices of Police Martyrs and other soldiers who fought bravely against terrorism for the safeguard of our people and Country.
