GANDERBAL 28th Oct (KNZ): As a part of ongoing country-wide celebrations of “Aazadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav” on the eve of 75th Independence Day Celebrations and Police Commemoration week, Ganderbal Police today organised a Painting competition at DPL Ganderbal.

The competition was held under the age group of 14 years for both boys and girls of District Ganderbal and a total of 30 participants registered themselves for the said competition. Following participants bagged Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

  2. Aashia Riyaz D/o Riyaz Ahmad R/o Kurhama Ganderbal Class 5th of Middle School Kurhama
  3. Bisma Ashiq D/o Ashiq Ahmad Quarshi R/o Chanthan Gulabpora Ganderbal Class 9th of Govt. School Lar It is pertinent to mention here that Ganderbal Police is organising different sports events like volleyball, Marathon, Paddle for Peace, Run for Unity and other co-curricular activities in the District for a weeks period. These different events will culminate on 31st October 2021. The function was Inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS accompanied by Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Firoz Yehya-JKPS,
    DySP HQRS Ganderbal Shri Abdul Majid-JKPS, SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS, DYSP DAR DPL Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, Chief Education Officer and Zonal Education Officer Ganderbal. The other senior Police officers were also present in the event. SSP Ganderbal in his address appreciated the success and intelligence of students for taking part in such a unique event. He also stressed upon the young budding artists of the District to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of art. Moreover, he also urged the participants to take part in cultural and sports activities. At the end of the event, the winners of the competition were honoured with Cash reward and appreciation certificates by worthy SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS along with other officers and wished them good luck for their future.KNZ
