Ganderbal 24 Jan (KNZ):One more Notorious Drug Peddler arrested in the Jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal & Psychotropic Substance recovered & Seized. Ganderbal Police is making consistent efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society by way of enforcement operations.
As per police statement, Police Station Ganderbal received information through reliable sources that one person namely Sajad Ahmad Sofi S/O Ghulam Hassan Sofi R/O Saloora Ganderbal is carrying contraband substance in his truck bearing Registration No.JK03H-8638.
Acting Swiftly on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, a special Police team was constituted under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS, led by SHO PS Ganderbal intercepted the said truck near new Bus Stand Beehama.
During search, 16 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate recovered & seized in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class. The accused was arrested & the vehicle used in the commission of the crime was also seized on the spot.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 14/2024, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Ganderbal & further investigation has been taken up.
