Ganderbal:War against Drug Addiction Continues;One more Notorious Drug Peddler arrested in the Jurisdiction of PS Lar & Psychotropic Substance recovered & Seized.
Ganderbal Police is making consistent efforts to eradicate the drug menace from society by way of enforcement operations.
Police Station Lar received information through reliable sources about the notorious Drug Peddler of Qasba Lar who had kept Contraband Substances at his home with an intention to sell them to the local youth.
Acting Swiftly on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, a special Police team was constituted led by SHO PS Lar reached the spot & during the search of the house, 09 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate* & 120 Etizolam Tablets banned Drug was recovered from his personal room in presence of Lumberdar and Sarpanch Concerned.
The Contraband Substance was recovered, Seized & the accused was arrested who disclosed his identity as; Tayib Feroze Bhat S/O Feroze Ahmad Bhat R/O Qasba Lar.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 66/2023, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Lar & investigation has been taken up.
It is pertinent to mention that Ganderbal Police has arrested three notorious Drug Peddlers in three consecutive days & we assure the general public to eradicate the roots of the Drug menace from the society.
Ganderbal Police again requests general public to come forward & share inputs about Drug Peddlers, so that the young generation can be saved from the dreadful abuse of Drugs.
