GANDERBAL, APRIL 20:  For containment of fresh wave of COVID-19, the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba today issued an order for imposition of restrictions for operating of shops and establishments under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 within the Muncipal limits of district Ganderbal.

 The order has been issued to prevent the spread of the covid-19 pandemic and break the transmission chain of the virus.

For operating of shops and establishments within Muncipal limits of the district the schedule and timing has been notified in an order.

As per an order, chemists medical/milk/milk products/vegetable/fruit/nanwaie (traditional bakers/baby food/mutton/poultry/hotels/restaurants for home delivery/take away only, pesticides and fertilizers shall operate for all days from 08: 00 am to 08:00 pm.

Groceries/kiryana/bookshops/stationary/beautyparlours/saloons/boutiques/furnishing/clothes/tailors/Handicrafts and handlooms shall operate from 08: 00 am to 08:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Similarly, hardware/furniture/building materials/readymadegarments/footwear/electronics/cosmetics/jewelers/repair-workshops/service stations/ and others shall operate from 08: 00 am to 08:00 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Order further reads that shops mentioned shall be permitted to operate on the schedule/timings having proper arrangements for physical distancing and wearing face masks shall be mandatory. Besides no parking shall be allowed on roads except designated/notified parking places.

Police authorities, executive magistrates, and incident commanders/Executive Officer Muncipal Council Ganderbal are directed to enforce the restrictions strictly and any violation of an order by any person shall invite punitive action under the relevant law.
