Ganderbal 20 May (KNZ):Geology and Mining Department today laid crackdown with assistance of SHO Ganderbal Manzoor Ahmad and SHO Kangan Zahoor Ahmad at various locations of Ganderbal and seized four vehicles for illegal mining.
DMO Ganderbal Majid Aziz Bhat said,four vehicles seized including 3 tractors and 1 tipper involved in illegal mining
He said after seizure the vehicles were kept in police custody till the realisation of penalty as per the mining rules.
He further said,the teams also checked the enforcement of notified rates of minor minerals and advised consumers to purchase minerals from legal sources only and stay away from illegal miners.KNZ
