Ganderbal 01 Jun (KNZ):Acting swiftly upon a specific information regarding gambling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal, Police Team led by SHO Manzoor Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal, raided one house at Haripora & apprehended four gamblers on the spot. All the accused were arrested including the house owner.
The accused persons were identified as Hilal Ahmad Rather S/O Ghulam Hassan R/O Haripora, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh S/O Ghulam Mohammad R/O Dursoma, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir S/O Ghulam Qadir R/O Banhama, Zahoor Ahmad Rather S/O Ghulam Mohammad R/O Haripora. The Stake money of Rs 6000 (Six Thousand Rupees Only) and playing cards were also recovered from their possession.
In this context, Case FIR No.147/2023, U/S 3/4 Gambling Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation taken up.KNZ
