Ganderbal 08 Sep (KNZ):The Division of Social Science, Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K inaugrated one week training programme titled ” Changing contour of Research in a Digital era” today at Rangil, Ganderbal.

The participants of the programme were from different domains across the state.

The inaugral function was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Farooz A Bhat, Dean FoFy,Prof (Dr.) Aquil Ahmad, Head Statistics, from AMU, Dr. Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi from CUK, Dr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Head division of Social Science & organiser of the training programme along with, Heads of Divisions, Faculty members, participants from Faculty of Fisheries.

Prof (Dr) Farooz Ahmad Bhat (Dean Faculty of fisheries SKAUST-K gave an insight into the importance of digital tools and techniques in analysing data in order to serve the society in general and academic fraternity in particular.

He thanked hounarable VC Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie for supporting Faculty of Fisheries in conducting such training programmes.
Prof.(Dr) Aquil Ahmad , Head Statistics AMU sensitised the audience by highlighting the importance of statistical tools and techniques in our daily lives.

Dr. Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi, Former Dean, Social Sciences,CUK, gave an overview of life cycle from inception till maturity of research process by ensuring novelty & creative thinking. He also highlighted the need to develop research problems which are need based in order to serve the society.

Prof. (Dr) Bilal Ahmad bhat, Head division of social sciences & organiser gave an overview of the training programme and appraised the audience about the diversity of participants who attended the training programme.

The participants of the training programme interacted with the dignatories and were overwhelmed by expert talks delivered by experts on the occasion.

The programme ended with formal vote of thanks by Dr. Mudasir M. Kirmani, Co- organiser of the training programme.KNZ
