Ganderbal April 27: Education department Ganderbal on Saturday organised a function to bid farewell to the Mir Sonaullah posted as OSD at Directorate of School Education Kashmir, who is attaining superannuation on April 30, after rendering more than 37 years of active service.

He started his career as Lecturer in at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Kupwara district and served in various capacities including Chief Education Officer (CEO) and Deputy Chief Education officer Ganderbal in the education department.

The function was attended by Director School Education Kashmir, Mohammed Younis Malik, Chief Education Officer Ganderbal Nahida Neelofar besides senior officers and officials of education department.

The Officers highlighted the services of the officer and lauded the role played by him towards improving the education sector.

Director Education, while speaking on the occasion appreciated the dedication and integrity of Mir. “He lauded his gentleness and duty consciousness and wished him good health and prosperity in his post-retirement life,” the statement said.

Chief Education Officer Ganderbal, ZEO’s, Principals also spoke on the occasion and while praising the long services of Mir Sonaullah said: “He worked as a very conscious, responsible and obedient officer”.

Mir Sonaullah also spoke on the occasion and shared his experiences of his service career. He hoped that the teaching community would continue their hardwork with more dedication to serve the students.


The officer worked with utmost dedication and honesty during his service career in different levels. The department offered best wishes for post-retirement life of the OSD Mir Sonaullah.
