Awantipora 05 March 2021: Acting tough against the drug peddlers, Awantipora Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Police party of Pampore on Naka duty arrested one drug peddler in Pampore area when the arrested person was moving in suspicious circumstances at Bagander Crossing Pampore.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified a Mohammad Younis Masoodi S/O Farooq Ahmad Masoodi resident of Baghender Pampore
About 08 Kgs of contraband substances Poppy Straw was recovered from the possession of arrested person.
Case vide FIR number 25/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.
