Ganderbal:Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society, Ganderbal Police arrested a notorious Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction PP Shadipora and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.
On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Police Party led by I/C PP Shadipora under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal during routine naka checking near Sumbal Bridge apprehended a suspected person & on his personal search, 02Kgs & 720 Grams Poppy Bulbs (Contraband Substance) which he was carrying in a white nylon sack was recovered & seized on the spot.
The accused was arrested & disclosed his identity as, Joginder Paul S/O Diwan Chand
R/O Blore Pathankot Punjab.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 310/2023, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.
