Srinagar, Oct 12, KNT: A 57-year-old man from old Srinagar city died after the mini-bus he was driving turned turtle at Qamarwari Chowk of Srinagar outskirts on Thursday evening.
Police sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a passenger mini-bus (JK01D-9848) coming from Parimpora Fruit Mandi to Jahangir Chowk went out of control of the driver and turned turtle. The mishap resulted in the on spot death of the driver identified as Muhammad Ashraf Kuchay son of late Muhammad Sultan Kuchay, a resident of Dabtal Nawab Bazar.
The victim was issueless and is survived by his mother and two sisters.Police in this regard registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
