GANDERBAL : Under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority & J&K legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Education Department Ganderbal organised a function at Dream Land Educational Institute Ganderbal to celebrate the Children’s day in commemoration with the birthday of India’s first PM Pt Jawharlal Nehru with great zeal, enthusiasm and fanfare.

Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal “Ms Tabasum”, was the chief guest whereas Pr. Govt. Girls High School Nunner was the guest of honor at the event.
Teachers and Students from different Schools of District Ganderbal participated in the programme.

Different competitions which include Debates, Quiz, Painting, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing & Film making competitions were organized on 13th & 14th of November 2021, to mark the days in which a large number of students from different schools participated.

The appreciation certificates and momentos were also given by chief guest (Ms. Tabasum, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal) to the students who excelled in different competitions.

This programme marks the end of 42 days long campaign of Pan India awareness & Outreach Campaign and Part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav”. The purpose of campaign was to provide free Legal Services to the weaker and marginalized sections of the society and aware General Public as well as students about role of Legal Services Authorities.

In a message to the students, the chief guest (Ms. Tabasum, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal) said that Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru had a passion for children whom he loved and groomed as future of the country.

She said that there is need to safeguard the rights of children besides urging parents to care their wards with love and affection.

In her address deliberated upon the main aim of celebrating the day and said that this day projects the rights of the children so that they are not being deprived of their privileges
Sheikh Bashir Ahmad (Teacher) presented vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts made by DLSA Ganderbal for organizing such events and for their tireless effort in making DLSA programmes a great success.

He also appreciated Teachers for their cooperation for participating in such event.
